Follow-Up Correction Aligner
Sometimes teeth drift after treatment is finished, or one specific problem needs fixing without starting over. This aligner is the middle step between a minor touch-up and a full new series.
What it is
Clear Fusion Aligner Oops is a removable, clear aligner in the Clear Fusion Aligner family. It is made for people who are not currently in an active aligner treatment plan: teeth that have shifted back after a finished series, or a single, well-defined correction that does not need a whole new staged series. It moves and aligns teeth within that bounded role. Think of it as a targeted encore, not a second full run of the show.
Who it’s for
This product may be used when a completed aligner treatment has relapsed a little and your clinician wants to bring the teeth back without restarting from the beginning. It may also be used for one clear correction in someone who is not mid-treatment. For very small changes to the front teeth only, your clinician will decide whether this aligner or a lighter clear aligner is the better fit.
It is not the tool for adjusting a treatment plan that is still in progress; an active series has its own refinement step. It is not a substitute for a full, staged series when a new comprehensive plan is needed. Nor is it intended for rotations, moving a tooth outward from the gum, or other significant movements beyond what a bounded correction can achieve. Cases that need fixed braces or other fixed mechanics require a different approach.
What to expect
Your dentist or orthodontist will confirm that you are not in an active series and decide whether this aligner or a new series fits your situation. They will take a current scan or impression of the arch or arches being treated and describe the correction planned. Ask what result is intended and how long you should expect to wear it. This is one occasion when “I’ll just see where it goes” is not a treatment strategy.
Caring for it
This is a removable aligner, so follow the cleaning, storage, eating, and drinking directions your dentist or orthodontist gives you. Take it out to eat and to drink anything other than water, clean it as instructed, and keep it in its case when it is not in your mouth. It may be a short assignment, but it still expects the full cleaning-and-storage arrangements.
